Focus on Static General Knowledge to Ace the General Awareness Section

• The GA segment offers one the chance to save time as one either knows the answer or one does not.

• Static GK mainly revolves around Culture, Indian History, Geography (India+World), Environment, Economy and Polity. To recall facts create a map in your head containing series of events. To remember dates this is helpful.

• How one practises is important. Candidates should try and understand the sorts of questions that are there. The questions might be different but their nature remains the same. This also helps in identifying one’s strong and weak areas.

• It is crucial to remember the formulas and use them for the relevant question. Doing mock tests every day will sharpen one’s memory as well.

• Timing oneself while practising is of great importance. It helps one remain in an exam-like mindset. 25 minutes is all one should spend on this section.

Spend only 15 minutes on English

• If one is proficient at grammar then one can finish answering the questions quickly. A lot of thinking is not required in the fill in the blanks segment as one does not have to solve a problem.
